The Abroad Community
We Belong to
One Another
Over a decade, Abroad has gathered an intimate community of leaders, stewards and practitioners who have walked into the world’s wisdom cultures and come home changed. These Abroad alumni stay connected through local chapters, community gatherings and a shared commitment to living wisdom.
In 2026, Abroad Wisdom Academy emerged from its for-profit sister company, Abroad, as a new educational and charitable organization. The Academy builds on these relationships while opening a new chapter of learning, service and regeneration.

Who you will connect with
Three Ways of Belonging
Some of our community members arrive as explorers, seeking wisdom and asking deeper questions. Some become stewards of the traditions that welcomed them, and others commit to carrying that wisdom into their professional practice for life. We all remain part of one another’s story.
Abroad Explorers
Explorers
These extraordinary leaders, creatives, actors and family office leaders are alumni of Abroad experiences. They came for a transition, a question, or a quiet sense that there was more, and they returned with gifts that were deeply personal, and often unexpected.
Every participant becomes an Explorer after their first Abroad experience, and is invited to keep gathering in person through local chapters, exploring wisdom-based leadership and what it means to live with purpose.
Abroad Luminaries
Luminaries
Luminaries are stewards of the traditions that welcomed them. They give their time, expertise, connections and financial support toward regenerating and preserving wisdom for future generations.
